Despite the heavy thunderstorm this afternoon, the API readings in all parts of the Klang Valley remain unhealthy. In Petaling Jaya, the API reading at 5pm was 139 while in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, the reading was 155 and 156 respectively.

Forecast of the weather for the coming days is clear, with no rain until Friday where rain is expected in Petaling Jaya and Putrajaya while thunderstorms are expected on Saturday.

This year’s double festivals of Deepavali and Hari Raya Aidilfitri is the last until the next occurrence in 2037 where it falls on 5 November and 8 November respectively. This is followed by 2038 (27 October and 29 October) and 2039 (17 October and 19 October).

Before the next Deeparaya, the Gong Xi Raya double festivals will greet us for 3 years beginning 2029 with the Chinese New Year followed by Hari Raya Aidilfitri 1 or 2 days later. The dates for 2029 are 13 February and 14 February, 2030 (3 February and 4 February) and 2031 (23 January and 24 January).

We can also expect that Hari Raya Aidilfitri will fall twice in 2033, one in January followed by December the same year.
