Yes, this post marks the beginning of my 15-day countdown on this blog to Chinese New Year on Sunday, 18 February. From today, I will write a post on the coming Chinese New Year celebrations.

With the festival drawing near, many shopping malls were decorated and some actually organize various events and performances to entertain shoppers. At 1 Utama (New Wing), I managed to capture some shots on 2 of the events recently, namely the Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe and the Acrobatic Lion Dance.

The Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe performed various performances such as acrobatic dances and fire eating feat. It’s amazing how they could perform such act when it is risky to most of us to do so.

The Acrobatic Lion Dance team also gave a superb performance. I managed to catch it live during their first performance at 1 Utama on Thursday, 1 Feb, which is a public holiday.
