Yes! 4 more days to go before we celebrate Chinese New Year. It is learnt that some lucky people have got the opportunity to balik kampung since Monday while most others will start going back only on Friday or Saturday.

Yes, that’s a week left to Chinese New Year. This week will also see the start of the balik kampung exodus, particularly from Friday onwards while the Ops Sikap XII to nab traffic offenders during the festive season begins today. Traffic on inter-urban expressways such as the North-South Expressway, East Coast Expressway and Karak Expressway is expected to be heavy and congestion is expected on Friday night and Saturday morning. Perhaps we all would remember that last year, Chinese New Year also fell on Sunday and traffic on the North-South Expressway on Saturday, Chinese New Year eve came to a severe congestion in the morning. The same situation is expected to happen this time round.

Well, nothing much to write today, except, today is probably the hottest day so far in the run up to the Chinese New Year.

Oh well, 9 days, a single digit left in the countdown. Tomorrow and Sunday will be the final weekend before Chinese New Year. The God of Wealth (财神爷) (cai shen ye) made his round at 1 Utama giving away mandarin oranges to shoppers yesterday while a group played traditional Chinese New Year songs on traditional Chinese musical instruments.
