Recent happenings
Posted by James Ooi

I have not been blogging on City Talk for some time, many of my previous posts were news extracted from various media. And in the recent week, much have happened.

There have been various reports on defects in government buildings recently, starting with the leaking pipe at Immigration Department headquarters in Putrajaya, a hall at another government building in Putrajaya, ceiling collapse at the new Kuala Lumpur court complex in Jalan Duta, and now, leaks at the ceiling in the Parliament building. On the leaks at Parliament, a female opposition Member of Parliament voiced out the matter during parliament sitting only to be harrased by two irresponsible backbenchers who made sexual remarks against her.

On the positive side, the SMART tunnel will be open on 14 May, 8am. On the same day, the government will sign the concession agreement with Konsortium Lebuhraya Pantai Barat (KLPB) for the construction of the West Coast Expressway between Taiping and Banting.

Weather, oh, very hot, damn hot, except for Wednesday this week!
