KUALA KANGSAR, May 7 - The Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Dr Nazrin Shah, will tie the knot at Istana Iskandariah, Bukit Chandan, on May 17.
Comptroller of the Perak royal household Raja Datuk Seri Mansur Raja Razman said the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah, had consented to the proclamation of Raja Nazrin’s bride as the Raja Puan Besar of Perak and the conferment of the Darjah Kerabat on her.
The ceremony will be held at the palace on May 18.
In a statement, Raja Mansur said the “bersanding” ceremony would take place at the Balairong Seri of Istana Iskandariah on the night of May 19, followed by a banquet.
He said the sultan’s office would issue statements to the media from time to time to prevent sensationalised reporting.
Raja Mansur sought the cooperation and understanding of the media to base their reports on official statements from the palace.
