With only about 4 days left to countdown to the year 2008, it’s time for everyone to reflect what have been achieved and what have not in 2007 and set new resolutions for the new year.

2007 is an eventful year at least in Malaysia. With the 50th anniversary independence celebration, however, is marred by various incidents such as the authorities actions against peaceful demonstrations, the use of ISA against organizers of peaceful assemblies and the curtail of free speech.

A snap election expected in November 2007 did not happen, and is now expected in March 2008.
