The 12th General Election results that see a political tsunami probably brings us good news for now - price of oil and gas remains at this time. Prime Minister cum Finance Minister Abdullah Badawi and 2nd Finance Minister said that there is no plans yet to increase the price of oil and gas.

It was widely speculated that the price will be increased after the general election where nobody would expect the BN to be denied its 2/3 majority in Parliament as well as losing 4 West Coast states - Kedah, Penang, Perak & Selangor. However, the unexpected happens. Let’s hope the price will remain for a long time, but I will welcome if the government decides to reduce the price!
