PASIR Bedamar assemblyman Seah Leong Peng is no stranger to his constituents. Seah is a third-term assemblyman who won by a bigger margin in the recent general election compared to the 2004 election.

He defeated Barisan Nasional’s Datuk Lee Heng of the People’s Progressive Party by a majority of 7,914 votes compared to 3,391 votes in 2004.

It was a re-match for Seah and Lee as they had also contested in the same constituency in 2004.

Pakatan Rakyat

Pakatan Rakyat, or People’s Alliance. That’s the new coaltion between PKR, DAP and PAS. Top leaders of the 3 parties have agreed in principle to the formation of Pakatan Rakyat. It shall be formalize once the proposal is approved by the respective parties.

A convention of Pakatan Rakyat elected representatives will be convened on 27 April, according to Anwar Ibrahim. He said the new coalition pledges to uphold the rights and interests of all Malaysians, regardless of race and religion.
