The International Court of Justice in The Hague ruled that Pulau Batu Puteh belongs to Singapore while the rocky outcrops Middle Rocks belongs to Malaysia.
The court handed a 12 to 4 judgement in favour of Singapore for Pulau Batu Puteh, while a 15 to 1 judgement in favour of Malaysia for Middle Rocks.
As for South Ledge, the court ruled 15 to 1 that it belongs to the state in whose territorial waters it is located.
